James Francis

James is the Chairman and owner of MNB Moulds that changed name in 2016 to become DBP Plastic Solutions.

DBP Plastic Solutions design and manufacture high quality, multi cavity injection and compression tooling for the electrical, electronic, automotive, medical and domestic markets. 

DBP Plastics offer a complete service from receipt of data right through to tool sampling and component inspection.

The company is based in Birmingham and is ideally located to service the whole of the UK. It’s been supplying clients for over 40 years with single cavity and multi-impression tools, either pre-hardened, fully toughened or for use as a prototype.

DBP Plastics offers a complete mould tool service, including design and development, new tools, technical consultancy and modernisation and repair services.


By investing in the two most significant aspects of its business, James’s people and equipment  can ensure to offer customers an unparalleled level of technical expertise and tool quality. This results in customers returning, to have new tools manufactured or existing tools repaired.

James’s company produces moulds and parts for major corporates like ABB, BOSCH, BMW, LAND ROVER, HONEYWELL and plenty of others.

James worked previously as a Senior  Control & Compliance EMEA at Pentair in London from 2011 to 2014.

He was a Compliance Manager EMEA at Tyco in London from 2008 to 2011.

 James was a European Compliance Manager at Liberty Global in London from 2006 to 2008.

 From 2006 to 2008, he worked at Ahold in Amsterdam as a Audit & Internal Control Manager after being a Financial Analyst at Canon Europe Ltd in Amsterdam as well from 1999 to 2002.

James obtain a Master of Science (MSc) Field Of Study Management Information Systems from Lancaster University in 2001 and from 1994 to 1998 he attended the University of Aberdeen where he obtained his Master of Arts (M.A.) Field Of Study Accounting and Finance.
